Bad roads

This is a road in Laikipia West constituency.

While the farmers are counting blessings for the long awaited rains, the travellers come short of cursing the same rains, but they are wise enough to realize the rains are not to blame for their woes. Poor roads are!

The residents, including those 'in the diaspora' (read working/living outside Laikipia) like me who have refused to change our voter's card for the love of our constituency of birth, voted on the conviction that such problems would get addressed.
It is infact a pity that at this time when we have seen the good examples of the likes of Peter Kenneth in addressing infrastructure problems, and using just the CDF kitty, we are still complaining about bad roads!
But again, the elected MP rarely visits his constituency, and when he does, mostly in times of crisis, he either uses a four wheeler, or he comes when its dry. Maybe he should consider this a crisis too! But I guess crisis to him is what affects his interests, and with a four-wheeler, I doubt whether this comes near to anyting likely to affect those interests.

That little said, its almost election time, and I hope this time we will take time to analyse our candidates ad elect them wisely.Am not sure what criteria we should use, but we have to get it right this time.
